Abortion-Breast Cancer Link -

Politics more important than fact

Although the link between abortion and breast cancer is well documented, current medical authorities are slow to accept it and many doctors deny it, especially if they are outspoken in favor of abortion on demand.  Abortion facilities, of course, typically do not mention it to the women who are considering an abortion.

Dr. Angela Lanfranchi has said under oath during testimony that many of her colleagues agree that the studies that have been done on the subject are convincing and that the colleagues are in agreement with Dr. Lanfranchi.  However, they say that the topic is "just too political" to discuss.

Karen Malec, in the peer-reviewed Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons, points out many cases, not just Dr. Lanfranchi's experiences, where the concern over being "too political" obviously won out over a cool, rational look at the evidence.    Karen Malec deplores the lack of concern of the medical establishment and the media for the women who should be receiving the warnings that would enable them to protect their lives.
